MALEK JANDALI YA ALLAH

Ya Allah | Oh God (2013) is a powerful symphonic work for piano and orchestra by composer Malek Jandali, inspired by the chants of the Syrian people during the revolution. Reflecting themes of spirituality, resilience, and the pursuit of dignity and peace, the piece captures the emotional depth of a nation’s struggle.

Recorded in Moscow with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Sergey Kondrashev, the composition was later reimagined with a choir, culminating in a moving music video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T5zQ6Diz4yo) featuring the Arabic Chorus of the Cairo Opera House. Through its sweeping orchestration and evocative melodies, Ya Allah stands as a musical tribute to the enduring spirit of the Syrian people.
